Activity and Analytics

The Activity tab in the gallery editor is your window into everything happening with your gallery. Every download, every collection submission, every email captured, and every photo hidden by a client shows up here. It helps you understand how your work is being received without having to ask.

The Activity tab has its own sidebar on the left with four sections you can click between:

  • Downloads. Split into two sub-tabs: Single and Bulk.
  • Collections. All submitted client collections.
  • Email Captures. Every email address collected from visitors.
  • Hidden Photos. Photos that clients have chosen to hide.

Each section shows its data in the main area to the right of the sidebar. Let's walk through each one.

Downloads: Single

The Single downloads view shows a table of every individual photo download that has happened in this gallery. Each row includes:

  • Thumbnail. A small preview of the downloaded photo so you can see at a glance what was grabbed.
  • Filename. The name of the file as the visitor received it.
  • Email. The email address of the person who downloaded, if Email Registration was on and they provided it.
  • Resolution. Which size they chose (original, high, standard, or small).
  • Date. When the download happened.
  • Context menu. A small menu on each row for additional actions.

This view makes it easy to see exactly which photos are resonating with your audience. If one image gets downloaded ten times more than the rest, you know it is a standout.

Downloads: Bulk

The Bulk downloads view shows a table of every bulk download request. Each row includes:

  • Timestamp. When the bulk download was requested.
  • Email. The email of the person who requested it.
  • Chapters. Which chapters were included in the download.
  • Files. How many photos were in the batch.
  • Size. The total file size of the download.
  • Status. Whether the download is processing, ready, completed, or expired.

This is helpful for tracking large deliveries and making sure your clients successfully received their files.

Collections

The Collections section shows every collection that clients have submitted. Each collection appears as an entry in a list with:

  • Collection name. The name the client gave their picks.
  • Photo count. How many photos are in the collection.

Click on any collection to expand it and see a grid of all the photos that were selected. This gives you a clear, visual overview of exactly what the client chose.

You can also export collections as a spreadsheet file for your records. This is useful if you need to share the selection with an editor, a printing lab, or anyone else involved in the final delivery.

Email Captures

The Email Captures section shows a clean list of every email address collected from visitors to this gallery. Each entry includes:

  • Email address. The address the visitor provided.
  • Date. When they provided it.
  • Galleries visited count. How many of your galleries this person has visited in total, not just this one.

The galleries visited count is a nice detail. If someone has visited five of your galleries, they might be a particularly engaged follower or a returning client. It gives you a sense of who your most active audience members are.

Hidden Photos

If you have the Client Hide Photos feature enabled, this section shows a grid of every photo that a client has chosen to hide. Each photo is displayed with an Unhide button so you can restore it to the client's view if needed.

This is purely informational and corrective. Hiding a photo does not delete it or affect what other visitors see. It only removes it from that particular client's experience. If a client accidentally hides a photo they meant to keep, you can bring it back with one click.

Using activity data

The Activity tab is designed to answer the questions that matter most to you after delivering a gallery:

  • Are people actually visiting and engaging with the gallery?
  • Which photos are getting the most downloads?
  • Has the client submitted their collection yet, and what did they pick?
  • Who is visiting, and can you follow up with them?
  • Did the client hide any photos you should know about?

Everything is right there, organized and easy to scan, so you can stay informed without chasing anyone for updates.
