Downloads
You decide whether clients can download, at what sizes, and whether they need a PIN. This page covers both sides: your settings and what your client does.
Turn on downloads
Open Settings → Experience and switch on Allow downloads.
Download sizes
Choose which sizes clients can download. You always have Original plus one Optimized size:
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| Original | Full resolution, exactly as you uploaded |
| High Quality (2400px) | Printing |
| Standard (1200px) | Sharing on the web |
| Small (640px) | Quick previews |
At least one size has to stay on, and you can offer one optimized size alongside Original. New galleries start with Original + Standard.
Download PIN
Add a Download PIN (4 digits) that clients must enter before they can download. You can show it, Copy it, or Generate a new one.
Per-chapter downloads
You can turn downloads on or off for individual chapters. At least one chapter has to allow downloads.
What your client does
Download a single photo
When a client downloads one photo, they pick a size. If they've chosen more than one size, they can check Always use this size so they aren't asked again. If you've set a PIN, they enter it first.
Download the whole gallery
For a full download, the client goes to a dedicated download page, enters their email (and the PIN if you set one), and chooses what to include. After they start it, CoreHue prepares a ZIP and emails them a link when it's ready, so they can safely close the tab in the meantime.
For large galleries, the download may arrive in a few parts. The link stays valid for about 5 days.
Download originals yourself
You can grab your own originals anytime from the Chapters tab, on a single photo or by selecting several at once. See Uploading photos for those photo actions.
To see who downloaded what, head to the Activity tab.
