Contracts

Contracts in CoreHue are e-signable agreements. You write one, send it, and your client signs online, no printing, scanning, or chasing paperwork.

How a contract moves​

Every contract follows a simple life cycle:

  1. Draft: you're still writing it.
  2. Sent: it's with the client, waiting for a signature.
  3. Signed: the client has signed.
  4. Completed: you've counter-signed, so both parties are done.

A contract can also end up Declined (the client passed), Voided (you cancelled it), or Expired (the deadline passed before signing).

Once a contract is signed, it can't be edited. That keeps the agreement everyone agreed to exactly as it was.

Ways to create one​

You can start a contract however suits the moment:

  • From scratch, writing the agreement yourself.
  • From a template, so your usual terms are ready to go. See Contract templates.

You can also build a contract right into a proposal or a booking, so the client signs as part of accepting or booking with you.

What makes them work​

  • Variables fill in details like the client's name and the booking date automatically when you send. See Variables and fields.
  • Client fields let the client add their own details, like initials or a date, before they sign.
  • Comments let the client raise questions on a clause before signing, so you can sort out wording in one place. See Comments.
  • A finished contract is available as a PDF, complete with signatures and a tamper-check fingerprint. See PDF and downloads.
