Stripe
Connect Stripe to let clients pay invoices online with their credit or debit card.
How it works
CoreHue uses Stripe Connect, which means:
- You have your own Stripe account that you fully control
- Client payments go to your Stripe account
- You manage your payouts and bank details through Stripe
- CoreHue deducts a small platform fee from each payment
How to connect
- Go to Invoices > Settings (or Integrations) and click Connect Stripe.
- You'll be taken to Stripe's setup page.
- Fill in your business info, verify your identity, and add your bank account.
- Once verified, you're redirected back to CoreHue.
Stripe may take some time to verify your details (sometimes a few days).
Connection status
- Not connected - Haven't started
- Onboarding incomplete - Started but Stripe still needs info
- Charges enabled - You can accept payments
- Payouts enabled - Stripe can send money to your bank
You need both charges and payouts enabled.
Currency
Your Stripe account has a default currency based on your country. Invoices must be in this currency for the online pay button to appear.
Fees
- Stripe's processing fee - Varies by country and card type
- CoreHue platform fee - A small percentage
Both are deducted from your payout. Clients always pay the full amount.
What about refunds?
When you refund a Stripe payment, the CoreHue fee is reversed. Stripe's processing fee is not (that's standard Stripe behavior).
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect Stripe in settings. This stops online payments but doesn't delete your Stripe account. You can reconnect later.
