Links and domain
Settings → Domains holds both of your public web addresses.
Your CoreHue URL
Every account gets one, built from your username:
yourname.corehue.co
Every gallery, booking page, invoice and contract link is built on it. There's a copy button beside it.
The bare address on its own shows a "not found" page. It's the base your links are built on, not a page in itself, so don't share it expecting a homepage.
Set a username first if you haven't. There's nothing to build links on until you do, and CoreHue says so here.
Using your own domain
Connect a domain you own and clients see that instead:
photos.yourstudio.com/summer-wedding
Better for anyone with an established brand. Your galleries then sit at your own name rather than someone else's.
One custom domain per account.
Setting it up
- Type it in the Domain field under Custom domain, a subdomain like
photos.example.comor your root domain, and choose Connect domain - The Setup instructions table lists the records to add, under Record type, Hostname and Value. Each value has a copy button. The table opens by itself on a new domain, and the Hide button beside the heading closes it while Show brings it back
- Add them where you bought the domain
- Choose Check connection
Domain changes take time to spread across the internet, and CoreHue says so: a few minutes to a few hours. Nothing has gone wrong if it isn't instant. Come back and choose Check again.
Once it's working the button becomes Test connection, and Remove domain is there if you ever want to disconnect it.
The statuses
A badge beside your domain tells you where things stand.

| Needs attention | Was working, and the last check couldn't confirm it. It may still be fine |
| Not connected yet | CoreHue couldn't reach your domain. Domain changes take time to spread, so try again in a few minutes |
The page also shows when the domain was last checked or verified.
Awaiting setup for a long time almost always means a record isn't right. Check it matches exactly what CoreHue gave you, including any full stop on the end that your domain provider asks for.
Needs attention on a domain that was working usually means something changed where you bought it, or the domain expired.
Both keep working
Connecting a custom domain doesn't switch off your CoreHue URL. Old links carry on working, and the page calls it your backup address for exactly that reason. Once the domain is Connected, the links CoreHue shows and copies for you in the dashboard use the custom domain.
Which to use
Custom domain, if you have a domain and an established brand.
Your CoreHue URL, if you don't. It's clean and works immediately, and no client has ever declined to book over a domain name.
If you're going to use a custom domain, set it up before sending links, so you're not asking clients to use a new address later.
