Custom domains

Connect a domain you own so your public pages live at your own web address instead of yourname.corehue.co. Your portfolio, galleries, and booking pages all use it, so everything your clients visit carries your brand. Open it from Settings → Domains.

You can connect one domain per account.

note

Your yourname.corehue.co link always keeps working as a backup, even after you connect a custom domain.

Add your domain

  1. In Settings → Domains, enter the domain you want to use, like photos.example.com. Type just the address, with no http:// in front.
  2. CoreHue gives you a DNS record to add (more on that below).

Add the DNS record

To connect your domain, you add one record where you bought it (your domain registrar):

  • Add a CNAME record pointing to proxy.corehue.co.
  • Using a root domain (like example.com with no photos. in front)? Use your registrar's CNAME flattening or ALIAS option instead.

DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to take effect.

Check the connection

Once you've added the record, come back and click Check connection to verify it. You'll see one of these statuses:

StatusWhat it means
Awaiting setupAdd the DNS record at your registrar.
Finishing connectionYour record was found. CoreHue is finishing up.
ConnectedAll set, your pages are live on your domain.
Needs attentionThe last check didn't pass. CoreHue keeps re-checking on its own.
Not connected yetCoreHue couldn't reach your domain. Try again.

Remove a domain

You can remove your domain anytime. Your pages will stop loading on that domain, but you can reconnect it whenever you like. Your yourname.corehue.co link keeps working throughout.
