Account

Sign-in, security and your data. Four sections, plus deletion at the bottom.

Account details​

Your account email is shown here, with Contact support to change beside it. That's deliberate. Changing the email address is the classic move of someone who has taken over an account.

Sign-in and security​

Password. Set password if you signed up with Google, or Change an existing one. At least 10 characters, with upper and lower case letters and a number, and it can't be a password that has turned up in a known data breach.

Sign-in methods. Shows Google as Connected if you've linked it. To Disconnect it, set a password first. CoreHue won't let you remove your only way in, so the button stays unavailable with a note telling you what to do.

Active sessions. Log out everywhere signs you out of CoreHue on all browsers and devices, including other tabs on this one. Worth doing if you've lost a device or used a shared computer.

Changes need a code​

Setting a password, changing it, disconnecting Google or deleting your account each send a 6-digit code to your email.

It's a deliberate speed bump. Someone who got into your account still couldn't change the locks without your inbox. If you start one of these and leave it, a notice at the top of the page offers Enter code or Cancel.

Your data​

Product analytics. Whether CoreHue collects a little information about how you use it, such as which pages you visit and which tasks you finish. It helps us improve the product. Client details, document content, money figures and recordings of your screen are never collected. Turn the switch off if you'd rather it didn't, and if your browser asks sites not to track you, it stays off either way.

Export your data. Request export prepares a ZIP file and emails you a secure download link.

It includes your account settings, contacts, inquiries, bookings, proposals, questionnaires, invoices, contracts, conversation content and the document files that go with them. Gallery photos are not in it, though each gallery's details are. Keep your own archive of your work.

A large export arrives as several ZIP parts. Download every part from the emailed page. Links last up to three days.

If a file or PDF couldn't be included, the export says so and lists what was left out. Retry export and Email link again appear when you need them.

Deleting your account​

Delete opens a page that walks you through it.

What happens​

  • Your subscription is cancelled immediately. No future charges.
  • Your public booking page goes offline right away, so nobody books a session you won't be there for.
  • Galleries, invoices, proposals and contracts stay viewable to clients for 30 days, which gives anyone still waiting on photos time to download them.
  • After 30 days, everything is permanently deleted.

The page also shows what you'd be walking away from: bookings in the next 30 days, the galleries you have, unpaid invoices and what they're worth, and any connected domain or integrations. It offers the export there too, and, if you're on Pro, Switch to Core instead.

Confirming it​

Three steps: choose a reason from the list, optionally add a note, then type delete my account and choose Send code. Enter the 6-digit code CoreHue emails you and the deletion is scheduled.

Changing your mind​

You then have 30 days. During that window the account is scheduled but not gone. Sign back in and choose Keep my account, and everything carries on. Nothing is actually removed until the 30 days are up.

Before you delete:

  • Export your data. Afterwards is too late.
  • Tell your clients. Every link stops working after 30 days. Anyone who still needs their photos needs warning and time.
  • Download your contracts. Signed agreements are records you may need years later.
  • Consider cancelling your subscription instead. Cancelling parks the account and keeps everything for 60 days, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Both are reversible, on different clocks: a cancelled subscription can be restarted within 60 days, and a scheduled deletion can be stopped within 30.
