Finance

The Finance report is where you see how your money is moving. Open it from Reports → Finance.

Your totals at a glance

Across the top are three numbers for whatever time period you're viewing:

  • Total received: money in. Everything your clients have paid you.
  • Refunds: money out. Anything you've refunded.
  • Earnings: what you actually kept, after refunds.

Change the time period and these update to match.

The table

Below your totals is a list of every payment and refund, newest first.

ColumnWhat it shows
DateWhen it happened.
DescriptionWhat it was for. Click it to jump to the client or invoice.
TypePayment, Refund, or Adjustment (you may also see CoreHue Fee or Stripe Fee).
MethodHow it was paid: Cash, Check, Bank Transfer, Card, or Other.
AmountThe amount, in the currency it was paid in.

Filters

Use the controls above the table to narrow things down:

  • Search by client name or invoice.
  • Currency, if you take payments in more than one.
  • Time period: All time, This week, This month, Last month, This quarter, This year, Last year, or a custom date range. It defaults to This year.
  • Filters: open this for more options: filter by Type, show credits only or debits only, or filter by Method.

Where these come from

Anything you collect through CoreHue lands here automatically, and so do the payments and refunds you record by hand. To learn how online card payments work, see Getting paid online.

If you haven't taken or recorded any money yet, you'll see No financial activity yet.
