Attachments
The paperclip in the message box attaches files to any message, which is how you send a rate card, a sample gallery, a contract draft or anything else a client asks for.
Attached files appear as cards under what you've written. You can remove any of them before you send. One that failed to upload offers to try again.
The limits
Up to 20 files, and 25 MB in total per message.
That's plenty for documents and comfortable for a handful of images. It isn't for delivering photographs. Use a gallery for that. A gallery is built for it and gives the client a much better experience.
If your files go over the limit, CoreHue tells you rather than silently failing. The paperclip stops accepting more once you reach twenty files.
Large files
Some batches are too heavy to attach to an email at all. CoreHue sends those as download links instead. The client clicks and gets the file. That happens when
- any single file is larger than 8 MB, or
- there are more than ten files, or
- the files come to more than 12 MB together
You don't choose this and you don't need to. A notice appears under your attachments reading "These files are too large to attach. They'll be sent as download links instead." It's more reliable than attaching, since plenty of mail providers reject large attachments outright.
Nothing is dropped either way. The message sends.
What you can send
Most everyday files: PDFs, Office documents, images, audio, video, archives.
Blocked for safety: programs, scripts, and web files like HTML and SVG. These are the formats used to carry malware. Mail providers treat messages carrying them harshly, so allowing them would get your real emails filed as spam. A blocked file shows File type blocked on its card instead.
If you need to send something blocked, put it in a ZIP.
Sending your pricing
The most common use. When someone inquires, reply from the inquiry with your rate card attached rather than retyping your prices.

Receiving files
Clients can attach files to their replies, and those arrive in the thread as cards with a download button. Anything they send is kept with the conversation on their contact record.
Deleting a conversation permanently, or emptying the Bin, deletes its attachments with it. Download anything you want to keep first.
