Sending invoices

When an invoice is ready, you send it by email straight from CoreHue. Sending marks it Open and gives your client a link to view and pay it.

The send composer

From the invoice, choose to send it and you'll get an email composer with:

  • From: your business name and email.
  • To: your client's email, already filled in.
  • Cc and Bcc: anyone else who should get a copy.
  • Subject: a ready-made line with the invoice number and your business name, which you can edit.
  • Message: a personal note to your client.
  • Send a copy to self: keep a copy in your own inbox.
  • Attach PDF: include the invoice as a PDF, when that option is available.

A live preview shows the email exactly as your client will see it.

When you send, the invoice becomes Open and your client gets an email with a link to the invoice.

note

A cancelled or refunded invoice can't be sent.

What your client receives

Your client lands on the public invoice page, a clean page at a link like yourname.corehue.co with your branding and logo. There they can:

  • View the full invoice with everything you billed.
  • See a Payment Activity list, with receipts to download once payments come in.
  • Find your bank transfer details, if you've turned them on.
  • Download PDF of the invoice.
  • Pay by card, when online payment is set up and there's a balance owing.

After a client pays, the page confirms the payment for them.
