Invoice settings

Invoice Settings is where you set the defaults that flow onto every new invoice. Go to InvoicesSettings. Changes save on their own, with a Save bar to confirm.

Here's a tour of the tabs.

General

  • Default payment terms: the terms new invoices start with, like Due on Receipt or Due in 30 days.
  • Numbering: your invoice and receipt prefixes, start numbers, and number format.
note

Numbering is locked after your first invoice, so it shows as read-only here once it's set.

Invoice Defaults

Set the Client notes, Terms and conditions, and Footer text that pre-fill on every new invoice. You can still tweak them on any individual invoice.

Display

Control how the invoice document looks:

  • Column labels: rename headers like Items, Quantity, Price, and Amount.
  • Hide columns: turn off the units, price, or description columns if you don't use them.
  • What shows on the document: show or hide your Business registration, Business address, Business contact, and the Client address. Your name and email always show.

Tax Rates

Add and edit the tax rates you apply on invoices. Each has a Name, a Rate %, a Tax inclusive switch, and a Default tax rate switch. See Taxes & discounts.

Reminders

Turn on automatic Payment reminders for unpaid invoices and choose which nudges go out. See Reminders.

Payment Processors

Connect Stripe to accept card payments, and add your bank transfer details for clients who pay directly. See Getting paid online.
