Creating Invoices
Go to Invoices and click New Invoice.
Setting up an invoice
- Client - Who you're invoicing (required for sending)
- Currency - Defaults to your primary currency
- Issue date - Defaults to today
- Payment terms - How quickly you expect payment: due on receipt, net 15, net 30, net 60, or custom
- Due date - Calculated from payment terms, or set manually
Invoice number
CoreHue auto-generates invoice numbers using your configured format (like "INV-001"). Numbers go up automatically.
Optional fields
- Title - A custom name for the invoice
- Notes - Text shown on the invoice (like "Thank you for your business!")
- Terms - Payment conditions
- Footer - Footer text
- Internal notes - Private notes only you can see
You can set defaults for notes, terms, and footer in Invoice Settings so they fill in on every new invoice.
Linking to other records
Link an invoice to a booking, lead, or proposal to keep everything connected.
Editing
Draft invoices can be edited freely. Once sent, you can still edit, but CoreHue saves a snapshot of the previous version. Paid, cancelled, or refunded invoices can't be edited.
Duplicating
Click Duplicate to create a copy with a new invoice number. All line items, discounts, and settings carry over.
Version history
Every time you edit a sent invoice, the previous version is saved. View the full history from the invoice detail page.
