Set up CoreHue for mini sessions
Mini sessions are their own kind of busy: one day, a row of short slots, a fixed price, and a rush to fill them. CoreHue is made for that. You publish the day, clients book and pay their slot themselves, and you just show up and shoot.
Here's how to set it up.
How mini sessions usually flow
You open a set of back-to-back slots on a single day. Clients grab a time and pay up front, so the day fills itself. Then you deliver a gallery to each one afterward.
Set it up
- Create a mini-session offering. Use Mini sessions to set your date, slot length, the gap between slots, and a single fixed price.
- Lay out the day's slots. Set the start and end of the day and let CoreHue build the slots, so every client sees the same tidy row of times.
- Require payment at booking. Take full payment as clients book so a reserved slot is paid for, not just held. See Getting paid online.
- Add anything optional. Offer extras like a few more minutes or extra images with packages and add-ons.
- Share the link and let it fill. Post your mini-session link to your social profiles and email list. Clients book and pay without waiting on you.
- Deliver each gallery. After the day, send each client their own branded gallery with downloads turned on.
A few tips
- Connect Google Calendar so your mini-session day blocks out cleanly against everything else.
- Reuse the same setup next season. Holiday, spring, and back-to-school minis can all start from what you built the first time.
- Keep a short questionnaire ready for names and any special requests. See Questionnaires.
