Set up CoreHue for commercial photography

Commercial and brand work runs differently from consumer shoots. You're dealing with businesses, usage rights, scopes, and sometimes clients in other countries. CoreHue keeps the negotiation, the agreement, and the delivery in one tidy, professional flow.

Here's how to set it up.

How commercial work usually flows

It starts with a conversation about scope, not an instant booking. You scope the job, send a proposal with clear usage terms, agree and invoice, shoot, then deliver the final files. Licensing and clean paperwork matter more here than anywhere.

Set it up

  1. Take inquiries, not instant bookings. Use Inquiry mode so each commercial job starts as a conversation in your leads.
  2. Spell out usage in your contract. Commercial clients are paying for how the images are used. Build a contract template that covers usage, licensing, exclusivity, and term, and use variables for the specifics of each job.
  3. Send a clear proposal. Put the scope, deliverables, and price into a proposal so there's no ambiguity about what's included.
  4. Invoice the way businesses pay. Create an invoice with your line items, take a deposit, and bill the balance on delivery. Clients pay by card, or by bank transfer if they prefer. See Getting paid online.
  5. Bill international clients in their currency. On Pro you can bill in more than one currency, which helps with clients abroad. See Currencies and countries.
  6. Deliver the final files. Send a gallery and turn on downloads so the client can grab the high-resolution images they've licensed.

A few tips

  • Keep separate contract templates for different licensing tiers so you can send the right one fast.
  • Use products for recurring line items like day rates and licensing fees.
  • Track which jobs are paid and outstanding in Reports → Finance.
