Where to start
During setup, CoreHue asks what you'd like to do first and puts a matching Getting started checklist on your Home screen.
Pick the thing that's costing you time right now. Setting up everything at once is how accounts end up half-configured with no clients using any of it.
Deliver photos to a client
Start here if you have finished work sitting on a drive and a client waiting for it.
The checklist walks three steps: Create a client gallery, Upload photos, Share the gallery. At the end your client has a private, branded page with your photographs on it, and you have a link to send. This is also the track to pick if you're moving off WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive.
Let clients inquire or book
Start here if the same conversation keeps repeating: someone asks if you're free, you check, you quote, they go quiet, you follow up.
The checklist walks three steps: Create and publish a service, Turn on your booking page, Share your booking page. Clients then either send you a structured inquiry with the details you need, or book and pay outright without you being involved.
This part has the most settings, and it's the one worth setting aside proper time for.
→ Bookings
Send a proposal to a client
Start here if you're sending prices in the body of an email and chasing a signature separately.
The checklist walks three steps: Create a proposal, Add pricing, Send the proposal. A proposal puts your prices, your contract and your deposit on one page the client can accept in a single sitting. They choose what they want, sign, and pay, and CoreHue creates the booking. It earns its keep most on higher-value work, where the gap between interested and booked is where people drop out.
Send an invoice to a client
Start here if the bottleneck is money: invoices in a spreadsheet, awkward reminder emails, no clear picture of who owes what.
The checklist walks four steps: Set your default currency, Choose how clients can pay, Create an invoice, Send the invoice. Setting up card payments means passing the payment company's own checks. Those happen outside CoreHue and can take time, so start that early.
→ Payments
Still deciding
Two questions usually settle it.
Is a client waiting on you right now? Do that. Waiting for photos, start with galleries. Waiting for a quote, start with proposals.
What did you last do that you resented? Rewriting the same inquiry reply, start with booking. Working out who hadn't paid, start with payments.
You aren't locked in
Choosing a track doesn't switch anything off. Every feature is available from day one whichever you pick, and the track only decides what your Home checklist points you towards.
It is a one-time choice, though. There's no way to switch tracks afterwards, and no way to dismiss the checklist early. It goes away once you've finished every step in it. So pick the one you'll actually work through.
After your first track
The usual next steps:
- Delivered a gallery, so set up bookings and let the next client book themselves.
- Booking page live, so add contracts and deposits and have bookings arrive confirmed and paid.
- Sending proposals, so wire up galleries and deliver to the same client properly.
- Invoicing, so turn on reminders and stop chasing by hand.
The order matters less than finishing each piece before starting the next.
