Activity

Each gallery keeps a record of what has happened in it. It tells you whether a client has actually collected their photos, before you chase them or take the gallery down.

The Activity tab has four sections down the left.

Downloads​

What was taken, by whom, at which size and when. Two views:

  • Gallery lists whole-gallery downloads: the chapters included, the email, the size, the file count and the date.
  • Single Photo lists individual photos: a thumbnail you can click to open, the filename, the email and the size.

A whole-gallery download lands here when the client actually starts collecting the files, not when they prepare them. It is listed once, however many parts they take. Your own downloads are not recorded while you are signed in and viewing your gallery. A download with no email attached shows as Anonymous, and the list stays after the prepared link itself has expired.

Collections​

Every collection in the gallery, whether a visitor made it or you requested it. Each row shows the name, the email it belongs to and the count against its limit. A collection the client built themselves gains a Submitted tag once they send it. A selection request you created shows how long ago you last sent it.

Click a row for Collection Details. It shows your brief under Client instructions, the note the client sent, and every photo with its chapter, the date it was added and any note on it. From here you can download the collection, export a CSV, copy the file names, copy the selection into a new chapter or a new gallery, or email the whole thing as a download link.

Email Registration​

If you asked visitors for an email before viewing, this is where those addresses land, in four columns: Email, Type, Device and Registered. Type reads Contact for someone who came in through Client access and Guest for everyone else.

It stays empty unless you turn email registration on under Access, and the empty state says so.

Private Photos​

Photos your client marked private, when you allowed that. Each row shows the photo, its chapter and the date it was marked. They stay visible to your client and to you, and disappear for guests.

Empty unless Client access and Let clients hide photos are both on under Access.

What Activity is not​

It is a record of what happened, not a marketing report. There is no view counter, no record of how long anyone stayed, and no name unless the visitor gave an email on the way in.

Where the emails you sent are​

Not here. The ⋯ menu in the gallery header has Email history, which lists every message CoreHue sent about this gallery and whether it was delivered. See When an email doesn't arrive.

Notifications​

CoreHue can tell you when things happen in a gallery. Under Settings → Notifications, the Galleries group covers:

  • Collection submitted and New collections
  • Downloads and Full gallery downloads
  • Private photos

All of them tell you in the app. All except private photos also email you by default. If you deliver large galleries the download emails get noisy quickly. Turning them off loses you nothing, because everything is still here. See Notifications.

What it is good for​

Knowing whether to chase. No downloads a week after sending usually means the email did not arrive. Check Email history first.

Knowing when it is safe to stop hosting it. If downloads have happened and nothing has moved in months, the gallery has done its job and can come down.

Seeing which photos matter. What gets downloaded and collected tells you something about what clients actually want, which is not always what you would guess.
