Choosing your photos
If your photographer asked you to pick photos, for an album, for prints, or for editing, this is how.
Marking a photo
Tap the star on a photo, or on the photo once it is open full screen. That is it. It saves straight away, so there is nothing to press afterwards to keep your work.
On a phone the star only appears once you open the photo, not on the small thumbnails.
The first time you do it you are asked for your email. That is how your photographer knows which list is yours. It is also how the same list comes back to you on another device, as long as you use the same address.
Seeing what you have picked
A small label near the bottom of the screen shows the collection you are adding to and how many photos are in it. Tap it to open Your selections.
From there you can look through what you have chosen, remove anything you have changed your mind about, and go back to browsing.
More than one list
You can keep several. One for the album, one for prints, one for photos to send your family. Only one is the list you are adding to at a time.
Open your selections and choose New collection, then name it. The list you are currently adding to has a filled star beside it. To switch, tap Select on the one you want.
Your photographer may have set lists up for you already, with a short note explaining what each one is for and how many to pick.
Notes
If your photographer has turned it on, you can add a note to a single photo, like "crop this one square", and a message to the whole list when you send it. They see both.
Sending it to your photographer
Open the list and use Send to photographer, or Review and send if you are looking at the full-page version. You are asked to confirm, and you can add a message.
Some lists lock once sent, so you cannot keep changing them afterwards. The confirmation tells you which kind yours is, and a locked list shows a padlock. If yours locks and you need it opened again, ask your photographer.
If a list has already been sent and is not locked, the button becomes Send update (Review and send update on the full-page version), so you can make changes and send again.
If there is no send button at all, your photographer can already see your list. Just tell them you are done.
A limit on how many
Some lists have one, usually because you are choosing a fixed number of album images. You will see it written as something like "12 of 30 photos", and you will be told when the list is full.
If you need more than the limit, ask your photographer rather than trying to get around it.
Hiding a photo
If your photographer has switched it on, you may also see an eye icon on a photo. Hiding a photo keeps it out of the gallery for guests. You can still see it, and your photographer can see which ones you hid.
If you cannot see stars at all
Your photographer has not turned selections on for this gallery. Send them your choices however suits: filenames, screenshots, or just tell them.
