Downloading
Download PDF appears on a contract once the client has signed it. You can take a copy at Signed, before you've counter-signed, and again at Completed.
Your client can only download once it's complete, meaning both of you have signed. That catches people out when a client asks for their copy the same day. The answer is to counter-sign it, which is what you were going to do anyway.
They download theirs from the same page they signed on.
What's in it
The contract as agreed, with every variable filled in and every blank the client completed showing their answer, underlined where it sits in the text.
Then a Signatures block. It shows each signature as it was drawn or typed, who signed, when, and their IP address.
The footer on every page says the document was signed electronically. It also carries the contract's reference and its content fingerprint.
The certificate of completion
A completed contract gets an extra page at the end:
- The contract number and document reference
- A Timeline: Sent, First viewed, Signed and Completed
- The Signers: each party's name, email, when they signed, their IP address and browser, and for the client the exact consent wording they ticked
- A Content hash, which is a unique fingerprint of the signed document and everything filled into it
A contract that's only at Signed doesn't have this page yet. The certificate exists for the finished document. That's another reason to counter-sign rather than leaving contracts half-done.
Keeping your own copies
CoreHue keeps your contracts, and you can download them any time. But for anything substantial, keep your own copy too.

Downloading completed contracts once a year takes minutes and is the kind of thing you're glad of exactly once.
What a client can do
View the contract, and once it's complete, download the PDF. They can't edit anything, and they don't need an account.
Keep the link working. Clients dig these out years later when they're recommending you or querying something.
