Contacts
A contact is a person you work with, or might. Everything that happens with them collects on one record: their inquiries, bookings, documents, payments and every message between you.
Add someone once, and their conversations, bookings, documents and payments stay easy to find.
Leads and clients
Every contact is one of two types.
Lead is someone who hasn't committed yet. An inquiry, a form submission, a name you added after a conversation.
Client is someone who has. CoreHue changes a lead to a client the first time one of these happens:
- a booking is created for them
- a payment is recorded against one of their invoices
- they sign a contract
You don't have to do it yourself. You can also set the type by hand whenever you like. See Leads and clients.
Where contacts come from
Most arrive on their own. The Source line in the Details card on a contact's Overview tab tells you which:
| Source | How it happened |
|---|---|
| Booking page | Someone booked or sent an inquiry through your booking page |
| Intake form | Someone filled in a form you shared |
| Manual | You added them, or CoreHue created them while you made a booking |
You'll rarely add anyone by hand once your booking page and forms are live.
Finding contacts
Contacts sits in the sidebar under the Contacts group. Hover it on desktop and a plus appears for New contact, which opens the Add contact form straight away.
The list shows Name, Email, Type, Business and Added, with a search box and two filters. See Adding and finding contacts.
What's on a contact
Open one and you get four figures at the top: Total revenue, Balance due, Bookings and Last activity. Under them sit eight tabs covering everything connected to that person. See The contact record.
Starting work from a contact
Rather than creating a document and then hunting for the person, start from the contact. At the top of their record, Send message is the main action and Edit sits beside it. The three-dot More actions menu holds Create proposal, Create booking, Create invoice, Create contract and Create questionnaire. Each one opens with their details already filled in.
Intake forms
Under Contacts you'll also find Intake forms: shareable forms that create a contact and open a conversation whenever someone submits one. See Intake forms.
