Managing clients
The Clients page is where you add new clients and find the ones you already have. Here's how to work with your list.
The Clients list
Every client appears in one list. On a wider screen you'll see these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The client's name. Sortable. |
| Their email, or "–" if you haven't added one. | |
| Business | The client's company. |
| Added | The date you added them. Sortable. |
Use the Search clients... box to find someone by name or email. Sort by Name or Added: by default the newest clients show first. The list shows 20 clients per page.
If you haven't added anyone yet, you'll see No clients yet with a prompt to add your first one. If a search comes up empty, you'll see No clients match your search.
Add a client
Click Add client and fill in:
- Name: required
- Email: optional
- Phone: optional
- Company: optional
That's all it takes to create the client. You can add the rest later.
If the email you enter already belongs to another client, CoreHue won't create a duplicate. You'll see Client already exists with a View client button to jump to that person instead.
Edit a client
Open a client and click Edit to update their details. The edit screen has everything from the add screen, Name, Email, Phone, Company, plus their full address: Address, City, State, Zip, and Country.
If you change a client's email to one that already belongs to another client, CoreHue offers to merge the two. See Merging clients.
Tags
Tags are free-text labels you can add to any client, like wedding or VIP, to group people however you like. Add or remove them from the client's profile and they save right away. You can add up to 20 tags per client, each up to 50 characters.
Delete a client
To remove a client, open the ... menu and choose Delete client, then confirm. This permanently removes the client and their data, and it can't be undone.
You can only delete a client who has no linked bookings, invoices, or contracts. If they do, you'll see Client has linked records and cannot be deleted: this keeps you from losing records tied to real work. (Galleries don't block deletion; the gallery loses its link to the client.) There's no archive option yet, so if you just want to tidy your list without losing anyone, add a tag like past or inactive and filter by it instead.
How clients get created automatically
Besides adding clients yourself, CoreHue creates them for you as people interact with your business:
- Someone books through your public booking page
- You link an inquiry from your leads
- You send a proposal to someone
Galleries and invoices attach to a client you pick, they don't create a new one.
