Leads

A lead is a potential client who's interested in working with you. Every inquiry from your booking page lands here, and you can add leads by hand too. This is where you turn an inquiry into a booking.

Where leads come from

Leads arrive in one of three ways:

  • Booking page: someone fills in your booking page or sends an inquiry.
  • Manual: you add the lead yourself.
  • Direct: a lead that came to you another way.

The Leads list

The list shows every lead with these columns:

ColumnWhat it shows
NameThe person's name and email.
Interested inThe service they asked about and their preferred date, or Flexible dates.
SourceWhere the lead came from.
SubmittedHow long ago they reached out.
StatusWhere the lead is in your pipeline.

Use the search box to find a lead by name, filter by status, or switch on the needs attention filter to see only the leads waiting on you.

To bring in more leads, use Share to copy your booking page link or post it to social, or Add lead to enter one yourself. Adding a lead asks for their Name, Email, and optionally a Phone, Service, Preferred Date, Message, and Source.

Lead statuses

StatusWhat it means
PendingA new inquiry you haven't opened yet.
ActiveYou've opened or acted on it.
BookedConverted into a booking.
DeclinedYou turned this one down.
ArchivedTucked away, out of your main list.

Opening a Pending lead moves it to Active on its own.

The lead detail page

Open a lead to see everything about it in one place:

  • A suggested next step at the top, one recommended action to keep things moving.
  • Inquiry details: their contact info, the service, preferred date, location, budget, how they found you, any reference link, and their message.
  • Questionnaire answers, if they filled one in with their inquiry.
  • A pricing guide panel to share your pricing and see when they opened it and what they picked.
  • A progress tracker covering the proposal, contract, questionnaire, payment and invoice, and booking.
  • A documents card for related documents.
  • Private notes for anything you want to remember. (You can't edit notes once the lead is booked.)

What you can do with a lead

From the lead, you can:

  • Share a pricing guide so they can see your packages. See Pricing guides.
  • Create a proposal that bundles your pricing, contract, and questionnaire. See Proposals.
  • Create a booking: also called Convert to booking: to turn the inquiry into a real session.
  • Send a questionnaire or Send contract.
  • Create an invoice.
  • Decline, Archive, or Reopen the lead.
note

Sending a contract, creating an invoice, or converting a lead all make sure a client record exists first. Converting also needs a default currency, and it can fold in an accepted proposal's contract, invoice, and questionnaire.

When you convert a lead, CoreHue creates or links a client, sets up the booking, and marks the lead Booked.
