Availability

Availability decides which times appear on your booking page. It applies to direct bookings, where a client is choosing from your real diary.

Open Bookings → Settings → Availability.

Shared weekly availability

Set the hours you're available on each day of the week. Each day has a switch: turn it off and the row reads Unavailable, and no times ever show on that day.

A day that's on carries one or more time ranges, written as a start time, the word to, and an end time. + Add time range adds another, which is how you handle a lunch break. Removing the last range on a day switches the day off.

New ranges start at 09:00 to 17:00.

These are booking hours, not working hours. If you edit on Mondays but don't shoot, mark Monday unavailable.

The four settings that matter

Booking gap. Time kept free between one booking and the next, so sessions don't run back to back. Choose No gap, 15 min, 30 min, 45 min or 1 hour. It defaults to No gap. It's the one most people should change first. Without it, a client can book you for 11:00 when you finish at 11:00 across town.

Minimum notice. How far in advance a client must book, in hours. Defaults to 24, and accepts up to 720. Raise it if you need to prepare, lower it if you take last-minute work.

Booking window. How far into the future clients can view and book, in days. Defaults to 365, and accepts up to 730. Wedding photographers often want longer and portrait photographers usually less. A booking eleven months out is a booking likely to move.

Timezone. Everything is calculated from this. Set it to where you actually work.

Clients see times in your timezone, labelled with the offset so they can tell, like "Sat 5 Jul 2025 (GMT+1)". Nothing is converted for them. That's right for a session someone is physically travelling to. Say it out loud in your confirmation message if you take video consultations across borders.

All four save with the weekly grid. A save bar appears at the bottom as soon as you change something, with Save and a way to discard.

Availability for specific dates

Your weekly pattern covers the normal week. This handles the exceptions.

Click Add date to open Set availability for a date. Pick a Date, then choose one of three under Availability:

  • Unavailable all day, "Block the full day."
  • Unavailable during certain hours, "Block selected hours."
  • Available during certain hours, "Open selected hours."

The last two reveal a time range, labelled Hours to block or Available hours. A Note (optional) field records why, and that note appears beside the date in your list. Save in the dialog adds it.

Use them for holidays, days you're travelling, days already committed to something not booked through CoreHue, or a Saturday you're opening up specially.

A specific date always beats the weekly pattern. You can add more than one to the same day, as long as their hours don't overlap. An all-day block can't share a date with anything else. Past dates drop off the list on their own.

What else blocks a time

A slot only appears if it survives all of these:

  • It's inside your weekly availability
  • It isn't covered by a specific date marking you unavailable
  • Nothing is already booked in it, including the booking gap
  • Nobody else is currently holding it in a booking flow
  • It's beyond your minimum notice and inside your booking window
  • Nothing on your connected Google Calendar overlaps it

That last one applies once you've connected Google Calendar, and it's on by default. See Google Calendar.

Different hours for one service

Everything here is your shared availability. A single direct booking service can run on its own schedule instead, which is how you keep certain hours for certain work. See Per-service availability.

Mini sessions ignore all of this and run on their own dates. See Mini sessions.

If no times are showing

Work down this list:

  1. Is your weekly availability actually set?
  2. Is a specific date marking you unavailable?
  3. Is your minimum notice ruling out everything near-term?
  4. Is your booking window ruling out everything further out?
  5. Is your booking gap wider than the space between existing bookings?
  6. If Google Calendar conflict checking is on, is something already in that time?
  7. Is the service published, and is your booking page on?

The last one accounts for more "my booking page is empty" reports than everything above it combined.
